Keke Palmer perfectly pulls off red hair in this edition of Hair Inspiration

She killed these 3 shades so effortlessly that as a fellow brown skin girl I’m super proud and truly inspired.

It all started when she dropped this bomb on us from her most recent music video 4 days ago.

That being said,

let’s flashback to every other time we’ve confused Keke for Jessica Rabbit courtesy these vivacious red hairstyles.

Keke in Oxblood Wavy Hair

This dark shade of red is so sensuously executed that it looks like it’s growing from her scalp. Those curls cascading down her back make the look soft and romantic. Paired expertly with a red pout and a lime green ribbed crop…Ok, Queen Keke, we see you boo!

Keke rocks Burgundy Hair with Black Highlights

Keke served this red hair shade for those who aren’t very loud with their hair colour.

And those wary about trying red at all.

Keke Rocks Red Box Braids

Keke struts down the Vivienne Westwood runway with hair that adds red heat to the term ‘Poetic justice’.

Darling Nigeria and Expressions will sort you out when it comes to discovering this shade.

I’ve deemed today as Keke appreciation day

Because growing up there were’mnt many dark-skinned fashion-forward celebrities who fought to be recognised. Hence, young girls like me and Keke grew up idolizing white celebrities.

This is all great, except, what can we really learn from them? They don’t share our nappy hair,  undertone or skin tone so what works for them won’t work for us.

This being said, times have slowly changed and it’s refreshing to see the likes of Keke, Rihanna and Ryan Destiny keeping the Brown skinned Fashionista flag flying high while giving us tips on how we too can look and feel good.

Don’t forget to let know me in the comment section which style is your fave (mine is definitely the Oxblood Wavy Hair) and if you’ve tried or are ever going to try a red hair look.
