Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been sidelined with a hand injury which he suffered while on duty with Nigeria on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old forward broke his first metacarpal bone during training ahead of yesterday’s 2-0 defeat to Serbia at the Hive Stadium in Serbia.
This was confirmed by coach Gernot Rohr just before the game but will be further assessed by Leicester’s medical team ahead of the Premier League trip to Brighton on Saturday.
Iheanacho who has scored just one goal in 15 Premier League appearances, put in four goals in five FA Cup matches before they were knocked out by Chelsea last two weeks.
