You know how Pepsi campaigns are usually celebrity based and pop culture infused? Yeah well this time the new ”Live For Now” commercial featuring Kendall Jenner seems to have backfired, even though it attempted to tap into sentiments generated from issues of police brutality and the public.
The general idea that social media seems to have derived from the advert goes like this ”so Kendall Jenner can stop police brutality by sharing Pepsi abi”. While some consider the ad as badly planned marketing and advertising, some seem to feel it is being misunderstood, as no violence was actually portrayed.
