The Golden State Warriors ruined what was supposed to be the Raptors championship party when they forced a Game 6 by defeating the Raptors in Toronto in Game 5.
In a closely contested game that went down to the final second, the ball was in Raptor point guard Kyle Lowry hands, but he missed the go-ahead 3, which means the Warriors will be going back to Oakland on Friday with an opportunity to tie the series.
Although the Warriors did get the W, they would have liked to have it in different circumstances.
MVP Kevin Durant re-injured his ankle which had kept him out for a month.
The Raptor fans’ reactions to his injury was a huge topic of conversation as the sections of the arena erupted in joy. Raptors mascot, Drake showed his long-time friend KD some love though.
The Splash brothers stepped up and were on show last night, combining for 57 point. 31 for Steph and Klay with 26 points including a clutch 3 each deep in the 4th quarter.
Game 6 will be played on Friday 14th of June whilst Game 7 (if necessary) will be played on Monday 17th of June.
