UFC Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov wants to face boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in Moscow in a fight he believes will break a world record.

Nurmagomedov had earlier called out Mayweather after defeating Conor McGregor and wants to follow the Irishman’s footsteps into boxing.

In a post on Instagram in which we was pictured with the secretary general of the Russian Boxing Federation, Nurmagomedov added that bringing the fight to Russia would “set a world record for the sale of paid broadcasts”.

Former five-weight world champion Mayweather, whose record stands at 50-0, beat McGregor in August 2017 in a fight that generated more than £450m and earned the 41-year-old American £210m.

Nurmagomedov on his part is still unbeaten, winning all his 27 fights.
