Kodak Black is being asked to repay a debt over concerts he missed in 2017 despite being behind bars. In courts documents, an Arizona judge ordered the 22-year-old to dish out $91,095.05 to Arizona concert promoter Nicholas Fitts, who originally sued for $500,000 in damages.
Fitts, who filed the lawsuit in May just days after Kodak was arrested before his Rolling Loud Miami set, sued Black over contractual agreements for a New York show initially scheduled for March 3, 2017. In addition to the “makeup date,” Kodak also missed the third concert.
The rapper has been having a tough year. He’s been in custody since his Rolling Loud arrest and is facing sexual assault, drug and additional weapon charges in other states as well.
Kodak pleaded guilty to his federal weapon charges in August and faces up to 20 years in prison. He’s expected to be sentenced on November 13.
