If you are a Lauryn Hill fan then we have good news for you. The hip-hop legend, who began her career as part of the Fugees and has been a major influence for artists such as Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, stopped making music back in 2013 but appears to have cemented her return with ‘Rebel’, a revamp of a song which first appeared on 2002’s album MTV Unplugged 2.0.
“Old tune, new Version, same context, even more, relevant now: sick and tired of being sick and tired,” said Hill in a statement about the track. You can listen to the new song on Tidal. Non-subscribers can hear a 30-second preview below.

The singer pretty much made Nicki Minaj‘s life this weekend. The two of them one of whom is the idol and source of a high school quote for the other one met backstage Saturday night at the TIDAL X benefit concert in Brooklyn. Do yourself a favor and check out their encounter on Nicki Minaj Instagram page. It’s pretty amazing.
