A Columbia law student has won a bid to have lunch with award winning actor, George Clooney’s wife, Amal Clooney at Jean-Georges for the price of $8,100.
According to reports, one of the items up for bid at Columbia Law School’s Public Interest Law Foundation auction was lunch at the French eatery with Clooney and human rights professor Sarah Cleveland.
The first-year law student won the item, which was titled, “Right to food (and champagne!),” with a bid of $8,100.
The lunch is for up to six students, and the winning student is inviting her friends.
The proceeds from the auction go toward supporting students’ legal aid work.
Clooney has been a visiting professor at Columbia since 2015. She co-teaches a human rights course with Cleveland.
