The report reveals that James’ company Springhill Entertainment, which he founded with US businessman Maverick Carter, is in talks with Vertigo Entertainment over a new movie about iconic killer, Jason Vorhees.

Vertigo has previously had a hand in the hugely successful remake of Stephen King’s IT, Oscar-winning 2006 drama The Departed and The LEGO Movie in 2014.

He also dressed up as the antagonist of IT, Pennywise the clown for Halloween last year. This follows a lengthy legal battle over the rights to the film in which original screenwriter Victor Miller won over producers of Horror Inc.
