The owner of Leicester City FC Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has died, among other casualties involved in the helicopter crash outside the King Power stadium.
The club has confirmed that Everyone on board including his assistant Kaveporn Punpare and Nursara Suknamai, a Thai beauty queen turned PA, pilot Eric Swaffer and his girlfriend co-pilot Izabela Lechowicz all died when the aircraft spiraled out of control and crashed in a fireball on Saturday.
Mr Swaffer had over 20 years’ flying experience as a private jet and helicopter pilot.
His career included flying helicopters for live media broadcasting including Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast and the Virgin Radio traffic helicopter.
Thousands of bouquets of flowers and tributes have been left by Leicester City fans and players, including Nigerian players, Ndidi and Iheanacho, outside the stadium.
Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, Nottingham Forest and Swansea City were among the football clubs that passed on condolences to Leicester.
Also, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince Williams, the Polish Embassy, English FA chiefs and players of the club have led their condolences to the families of the victims.
Meanwhile, Leicestershire Police have also confirmed that no-one else had been injured and that the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) is currently leading the investigation.
