Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City completely annihilated Southampton last night. Breaking the record for the biggest away win in Premier League history and becoming the joing biggest win in premier league history.
Both Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez scored hat-tricks, with the visitors aided by Ryan Bertrand’s red card for a reckless challenge on Perez in the build-up to Ben Chilwell’s opener.
Youri Tielemans also scored his third goal of the campaign and James Maddison added a superb free-kick on a miserable evening for Southampton, who drop into the bottom three.
Even after such a stunning performance, Brendan says he wants his side to get better.
“We said at half-time, keep your speed in the game and we have to punish them,” he told Sky Sports. “It is tough for Ralph but we have to do our job and score as many goals as we can.
Leicester currently sit 2nd on the table until Manchester city play their game in hand and are looking like strong contenders for champions league football next season.
