Lewis Hamilton has signed a new contract with Mercedes which will see him earn a bumper £40m a year until the end of 2020.
The 2017 F1 champion announced the new deal after he had discussions with Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff.
Since he joined Mercedes in 2013, he has won four titles so far with his fourth coming last year after a close battle with Vettel that ended at the Mexican GP.
Hamilton is not finding it easy this season as he is currently eight points behind Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel who has been dictating the pace so far but will look to redeem himself this weekend when the German grand prix begins.
