After a long wait, Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated 12th album “Tha Carter V” may be getting a release date soon. The rapper’s label — Young Money on Wednesday shared the possible cover art for the album via its verified Twitter account, signaling an end to the long wait.
This comes just weeks after Lil Wayne and Cash Money’s Boss, Birdman squashed the feud between them publicly during the annual Lil Weezyana Fest in New Orleans.
Over the last four years, the album has been delayed several times amidst legal and financial battles between Wayne and Birdman. In 2015, Lil Wayne sued Birdman and his former label, Cash Money for over $50 million over the delay of the album.
However, according to reports, Wayne and Birdman finally settled their dispute in court with the latter finally releasing the rapper from his Cash Money deal to signal an imminent release of the album.
As of the time of this reports, no date has been set yet for the album.
