Lipstick is a product that you can either be obsessed with or are intimidated by. As an occasional lipstick junkie, myself, here are some quick tips on choosing a finish for every event:
With everyone trying to recreate that summer glow, lip gloss should be the first item in your on-hand makeup bag. They help highlight your lips without the use of any crazy colors. When using a lip gloss, you want one that contains Vitamin E to make sure your lips are receiving enough moisture. If you want your lips to appear a bit fuller, go for one with a bit of collagen, this may tingle a bit but will help plump your lips making them look a bit fuller.
After Kylie Jenner popularized Matte lipstick with the launch of kylie cosmetics, it seems no one can get enough of matte lipsticks. These are great because they tend to last longer without a touch up since they dry onto your lips, so I recommend these for date nights when there will be a lot of *talking*. They have one drawback though, they can make your lips dry and flaky over time, make sure to exfoliate your lips and moisturise them before and after putting on your matte lipsticks.
And there is always the classic creamy lipstick. This is neither super glossy or very matte. This can be great for a simple everyday look that focuses more on color rather than finish.
