Liverpool has dealt a huge blow to Barcelona’s transfer hopes as a second bid for Philippe Coutinho was rejected yesterday.
The bid this time, included an offer of €100 million — an initial €85m and then €15m in add-ons.
The follow-up bid comes after the Merseyside club rejected a £72 million offer from Barcelona last month.
Coutinho signed a five-year contract at Anfield back in January with Liverpool ensuring that no release clause was inserted.
Barcelona will now look towards Ousmane Dembele’s direction or maybe come with another mouthwatering bid but as there is no release clause to activate in Coutinho’s contract, then there is no hope from Anfield.
