Jackson, who married Qatari business man Al Mana in 2012, sparked speculation she would be becoming a mother when she postponed Unbreakable World Tour indefinitely last year.
The 50-year-old artist revealed her decision in a video posted on twitter in early April, saying she and Al Mana were “planning their family”.
“We’re in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change,” she said in the clip.
“I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
After the tour cancellation, older brother and father of nine Jermaine Jackson said he would be happy to help out when the bub did arrive.
“She’ll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict,” Jermaine, 61, said in may.
“But I tell her, ‘If you need any parenting skills or baby skills, let me know because I’m the best diaper changer there is on this planet, still to this day.'”
