Man City were their dominant selves again as they dispatched Brighton 3-1 at the Etihad stadium to reach a new benchmark in terms of number of wins in a season.
The victory against Brighton was their 31st victory this season thereby breaking the 30 wins achieved by Conte’s Chelsea last season. They also break the record for points accrued reaching 97 points to beat Chelsea’s team of 2004/2005 with 95.
The third record was that of the number of goals as Fernandinho’s goal gave them their 105th goals eclipsing the 103 set by Chelsea in 2009/2010.
Since the turn of this season, Guardiola has turned the Citizens to a speed attacking team as they have dispatched almost every team that came their way without pity such that one will imagine how next season will turn out.
Be that as it may Manchester City has set standard that other EPL clubs should emulate.
