Manchester City will not be punished for the mass pitch invasion at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday after hundreds of supporters thumped the pitch following the 5-0 demolition of Swansea, with at least one flare set off.
The decision comes a month after Wigan was charged for ‘failing to ensure that no spectators or unauthorised persons encroached onto the pitch’ in the aftermath City’s FA Cup defeat by Wigan in February.
The FA are yet to dish out punishment to the Latics, with an investigation ongoing.
City have already insisted that they will allow their fans onto the pitch to partake in their title celebrations.
