The loan signee is in Manchester preparing for their forthcoming clash with Chelsea on Monday night while the rest of the squad prepare in Spain, this was a step taken by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to prevent risk of not the player not being allowed back into the country due to Coronavirus as he had been in China in the past 2 weeks.
United travel to Stamford Bridge for their first match after the winter break and Ole said Ighalo is in contention to play. “Yeah, he is going to travel with us. We will just see his fitness work this week and I think we will get him sharp,” he told the club media. “We want to integrate him as quickly as we can because, of course, he is desperate to play for us.”
United arrived in Spain on Saturday and have been enjoying training in the warm weather during the first enforced winter break and Solskjaer has been impressed with what he has seen from his squad. “Yeah, it’s very good. I think the boys enjoyed a break, they needed a break, but now they are back, focused and they have been working well,” Solskjaer said. “Yeah, of course with the weather back home as well, this has been an even bigger plus for us. Being in Europe, because the travel isn’t too far, is also a good point because we don’t have too many days before we have to go back and get ready for Chelsea.
