Mary J. Blige is reportedly owing more than $1 million in back taxes according to the Internal Revenue Service.
The IRS filed a tax lien last month claiming Blige hasn’t paid taxes on income from 2016 and 2017. The Queen Of Hip Hop Soul already has outstanding federal tax liens dating back to her marriage to ex-husband and former manager Kendu Isaacs.
Blige is no stranger to tax troubles. In 2013, she was hit with a $901,769.65 tax lien. Although she reportedly settled that debt, she was hit with another tax lien — this time for $166,292.77 — in 2016.
So far, Blige hasn’t responded to the latest lien. She is currently on the road with Nas as part of their Royalty Tour, which began in July.
