Angel Gomes who was born to a footballing family in 2000, was among the 12 academy players called upon to execute the last match of the season.
His father is former Benfica player, Gil Gomes while his cousin is Portuguese star and former Manchester United star, Nani.
At age 16, Gomes became the youngest recipient of the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award on Thursday night.
He is being tipped to toe the line of Marcus Rashford who also graduated from the academy.
