The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has delivered a baby boy.
An excited Prince Harry, who witnessed the birthing process, confirmed the news to media outlets today.
He said: “Yes, I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a beautiful baby boy early this morning. A very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing very well. It’s been the most amazing experience. I could never possibly imagine how any woman does – what they do is beyond comprehension. We are both absolutely thrilled and so grateful too for all the love and support of everybody out there.”
Meanwhile, an announcement has also been made on the Instagram page of the royal couple stating “It’s a boy.”

We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz. The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. Prince Harry’s wife went into labour earlier today, as confirmed by the Buckingham Palace. The 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex had been keeping a low profile with her husband, the 34-year-old Duke of Sussex in their new home of Frogmore Cottage.
It was previously expected Meghan Markle would have a home birth as she and Harry try to keep the arrival private.
