Napoli have appointed former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager of on a three-year deal few hours after sacking coach Maurizio Sarri.

Maurizio Sarri led Napoli to a second-placed finish behind champions Juventus but crashed out of the Europa league in the round of 16 stage.

Ancelotti was recently sacked by Bayern Munich despite winning the Bundesliga title and reaching the semi-final of the champions league.

He has so far won four top-tier league titles, three Champions Leagues and three domestic cups most notable with AC Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Sarri is currently being linked with a move to replace Antonio Conte at Chelsea should he decide to leave.
