Ebony Life Films is back again with its second movie ‘The Wedding Party’ and can we just say, we’re pretty excited.
Last year, Ebony Life Films released their very first movie, ‘Fifty’ and it was a massive hit. Boasting an impressive cast, stellar acting and a wonderful plot, ‘Fifty’ became the Nigerian film of 2015 and raked in a massive N400 million.
And now it looks like Ebony Life hasn’t just matched last years efforts, but surpassed it with their sophomore film, ‘The Wedding Party’, directed by Kemi Adetiba. Adesua Etomi stars as Oladunni Coker, a young girl about to get married to the love of her life. But with jealous ex’s, crazy families and the general chaos that comes with a wedding, there’s a whole lot of drama she has to go through before saying ‘I do’ to her fiance Dozie (who’s played by music veteran/Nollywood newcomer Banky W).
The film is already creating quite a buzz as it’s set to premiere in the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival in Canada just next month (which, for the record, is a very big deal).
When we heard the plot, we were gingered. But then we saw the trailer and now we’re literally counting down the days till we can watch the whole movie. Check it out:
What do you guys think? Do ELFilms have another ‘Fifty’? Will ‘The Wedding Party’ be even better? Or should they head back to the drawing board and try again next year? Let us know in the comments below.
