Concerts are rarely held in Saudi Arabia largely because it is an Islamic country and it is the cradle of Islam.

Despite this, it seems the Kingdom is gradually opening up to allow more of these concerts. Saudi Arabia has taken a significant step towards this by allowing American rapper and singer, Nelly to perform in the country.

The rapper has signed on to perform alongside Algerian singer Cheb Khaled at the concert in Jeddah on December 14th.

But women will not be allowed to attend the concert. This means both artists will perform to a crowd of men.
