Coach of the New Zealand female football team, Andreas Heraf has resigned after 13 of his players refused to play.
The players had written to the New Zealand Football Federation to complain about Heraf on allegations of bullying and intimidation by the 50-year old Austrian.
Heraf was appointed technical director in April 2017 and became head coach in December.
Meanwhile, NZF president Deryck Shaw has released a statement accepting Heraf’s resignation effective immediately, also stating that Heraf would still participate in the independent review into NZF’s culture.
