Neymar has been ruled out for one month after the Paris Saint-Germain star suffered a hamstring injury during Brazil’s 1-1 draw with Nigeria.
The forward was replaced by Bayern Munich’s Phillipe Coutinho early in Sunday’s friendly against Nigeria after picking up the injury.
The Ligue 1 club confirmed in a club statement on Monday that the Brazilian has undergone an MRI scan, which confirmed a grade 2 lesion of the left ischiosis-tibial femoral biceps, a muscle in the thigh.
Neymar will miss PSG’s Champions league game against Club Brugge and Ligue 1 game against OGC Nice.
