The Nigerian football crisis has taken a new twist after DSS ejected Chris Giwa from the Glass house on orders from the presidency.
It will be recalled that on the 5th of June, the Supreme Court cancelled Pinnick’s election and recognised Giwa as substantive chairman with an expatriate order supposed to last for a period of 14 days which expired yesterday.
This led to the Presidency giving an order to the Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) to eject Giwa and his board from the secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation.
The NFF Secretary General Muhammed Sanusi has since resumed office while Amaju Pinnick who had been away supervising the CAF roundtable symposium on Africa’s performance at the recently-concluded 2018 Russia World Cup will return to Nigeria on Tuesday
Before this, Nigeria risked a two-year ban had the crisis remained unresolved till September.
