This isn’t BTS’s first high-profile collaboration with American artists. In 2017, the boy band released an alternate version of “Mic Drop” remixed by DJ Steve Aoki and featuring rapper Desiigner. It became the first song by a Korean group to top the U.S. iTunes Songs Chart and peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving BTS their biggest stateside hit to date.
