Stylist Cristina Acevedo is suing her former client Nicki Minaj, claiming that the rapper has refused to pay her for her services rendered over a period of 24 days in the spring of 2017 — not “even one penny.”
According to reports, Acevedo’s daily rate was $1,500 — a sum that she says Minaj never disputed — and her main responsibility was to “personally style Minaj and/or members of her family from time to time as needed.”
The stylist says she frequently worked long hours, including 10 hour days over the course of two months, but when it came time to pay up, Minaj wasn’t cooperative.
In fact, according to Acevedo, she wasn’t especially pleasant in communications concerning the disputed fee.
“No one is paying you 36 thousand dollars,” Minaj reportedly wrote in an email. “Send an email with some sense or don’t send any others. This isn’t your get rich quick scheme.”
Acevedo is seeking $43,000 along with other damages.
