At the inaugural edition of Music Week Africa, which was held at the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Lagos, on Thursday, D’banj in his over 10-years experience in the Nigerian music industry, has declared that the nation is the only country in the world, where piracy doesn’t exist.
He noted that what ever is happening in Alaba international market can’t exactly be termed as piracy because both original and supposed pirated works are sold together;
“Nigeria is the only country in the world that does not have piracy,” he said emphatically.
“As far as I’m concerned, I’ve never been pirated because it’s the same place they are selling original that they are selling the fake CDs.”
“The money is everywhere. Everyone is playing their own role. The market is here”
