Nigeria has been quite in impressive in the last couple of months and FIFA noticed. The Super Eagles moved up 10 places, in the latest FIFA ranking.
This latest development, has Nigeria at 8th place in Africa, after their impressive 3-1 win over Algeria in the World Cup qualifier, two weeks ago.
Some of the countries ahead of Nigeria in Africa, include: Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Congo DR and Burkina Faso.
Argentina remain at number 1 and are closely followed by cross-country rivals, Brazil, who passed the reigning World Champions, to seal the second spot.
As said earlier, the biggest surprise, turned out to be Germany. They suffered a drop to the third position, while Brazil took their previously held position, while Chile currently holds the fourth position.
The next Fifa ranking will be released towards the end of the year, on December 22, 2016. We hope Nigeria steps up once again. Well done Super Eagles!
