Some foods just taste better together. Like the way you say mac and cheese, cake and icing, etc. In the same way, there are certain Nigerian cuisines that taste better when they are taken or eaten together.
When you eat them alone, you just won’t get the best taste out of these foods. So, we share some of the foods you can combine to get the most outstanding taste. You will be surprised at what you have been missing by not consuming them together:
Hot Akara + Bread
In the morning or evenings, you will find a woman on the roadside frying Akara (bean cake). You cannot miss that aroma, except your nostrils are blocked. Now, when you reach into your pocket to buy it, never buy it alone. It will be very boring. You should always buy bread with your Akara. Now some extra tips, try to stuff the Akara balls in between two slices of bread or just in the middle of your divided Agege bread. Oh Lawd! Nigerians call this combo riskyburger!
Moi Moi + Pap
Moi Moi is another delicious delicacy made from Beans. Moi Moi is usually wrapped in either a nylon, plastic or a traditional leaf. Now, the best combo for moi moi is the Nigerian infamous pap. Simply add some sugar and if you like, a lot of milk to your pap and you will not forget the experience in a hurry.
Yam + Egg
We all know that boiled yam and egg are twins. The combo never fails. They are very tasty every time you eat them together and if you are not careful, you can get addicted to the combination.
Roasted Corn + Coconut
Roasted corn is tasty on its own. But if you want the taste to increase at an arithmetic progression, you should eat it with coconut. You will become a regular customer where both delicacies are sold.
La Casera + Gala
It more like a sin to buy La Casera without also buying Gala. It is almost unheard of. The drink and beef snack combination are sisters from different mothers and make perfect traffic meals.
Roasted Plantain + Groundnut
Roasted plantain and groundnut is another interesting food combo that tastes better when eaten together. It is will be an entirely boring meal when you eat one without the other.
