Everton has completed the signing of Theo Walcott from Arsenal for a fee around £20m on a three-and-a-half year contract.
The 28-year old who was also poached by Southampton, chose the Merseysiders after he was convinced by fellow Englishman and Everton captain Wayne Rooney to join them.
The move brings to an end Walcott’s 12-year stay at Arsenal, where he scored 108 goals in 397 appearances.
Walcott has not featured for England since the friendly against Spain in November 2016, though he has 47 caps to his name.
He now becomes Sam Allardyce’s second signing of the January transfer window following the £27m paid for striker Cenk Tosun from Besiktas.
