Definitely not slowing down anytime soon, Femi Kuti has launched his tenth album at the Afrika Shrine in Lagos.
Though he unofficially started his career as a musician in his father’s band, he started his own thing 32 years ago and has been recognized for his contributions to the growth of the music industry all over the world.
Did you know that he is a four-time nominee of the Grammy awards? Well, he sure is!
His music reminds us of his late father, Fela who not just entertained, but also sang about the political situation and economic hardships in Nigeria. Only that this time, Femi has gone global with the range of topics that he sings about.
In his interview with Guardian Life, He says the tone of his Album, which has already released tracks, “One People, One World” and “Na Their Way Be That”, is more optimistic.
Friends, fans and family were at the Shrine yesterday for the stage performance of the Album and it was definitely a fun-filled time.
This Album is available on music/sale and streaming platforms.
