Former Beatles star, Paul McCartney has announced a string of new dates as part of his tour in support of his upcoming album ‘Egypt Station‘.
With December UK dates selling out ‘in seconds’, much to the ire of many fans, the former Beatle has now announced five new shows across the USA, adding to an already hectic schedule.
The new dates are as follows:
Raleigh, North Carolina, PNC Arena (May 27)
Greenville, South Carolina, Bon Secours Wellness Arena (30)
Lexington, Kentucky, Rupp Arena (June 01)
Madison, Wisconsin, Kohl Center (06)
Moline, Illinois, TaxSlayer Center (11)
McCartney recently recalled the time he spent in a Japanese jail, where he was incarcerated for nine days after being caught with marijuana.
New footage from the Beatles legend’s Carpool Karaoke appearance was added to the segment that aired earlier this summer to create a one-hour special called Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live From Liverpool.
In the previously unseen footage, McCartney discusses his 1980 arrest at Tokyo airport after marijuana was found in his suitcase. “I still am hazy as to how that happened but it did,” he told Corden. “I had some marijuana in my suitcase and I ended up in jail [for] nine days. Scary!”
