Guess who wasn’t happy that Donald Trump used his hit song ‘Happy‘ at a Midwest rally hours after the shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh on Saturday – Pharrell, duh!.
Pharrell Williams has sent a legal warning to Donald Trump after his hit song “Happy” was played at the American president’s political event in Indiana Saturday, a rally held just hours after the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.
“On the day of the mass murder of 11 human beings at the hands of a deranged ‘nationalist,’ you played his song ‘Happy’ to a crowd at a political event in Indiana,” King wrote in the letter, via The Hollywood Reporter.
Pharrell isn’t the first artist to threaten legal action against Trump. Earlier this month, Prince’s estate asked Trump to cease using “Purple Rain” at rallies.
