The Brooklyn intersection where The Notorious B.I.G. grew up will be renamed in his honour. The late rapper’s estate, the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation.
The ceremony will take place on June 10 to officially rename the Fulton Street intersection between Gates Avenue on St. James Place to Christopher Wallace Way. Several members of the Brooklyn rapper’s family are expected to attend the ceremony—which is open to the public—including his mother, Voletta Wallace.
The Brooklyn Community Board 2 approved the initiative back in November but needed additional approval from the City Council and New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio—which they’ve since acquired.
