Trouble looks to be brewing for Juventus’ Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo after the police in Las Vegas reopened a sexual assault investigation at the request of a woman alleged to have been raped by Cristiano Ronaldo.
The lady in question Kathryn Mayorga claimed that the Portuguese footballer took advantage of her in a hotel room in Vegas in 2009.
His representatives have already taken legal action against Germany’s Der Spiegel who first reported it while the 33-year old has since dismissed the claim, describing the news as fake.
In 2010, she reportedly reached an out-of-court settlement with Ronaldo involving a $375,000 (£288,000) payment for agreeing never to go public with the allegations.
However, her lawyers now want the non-disclosure agreement declared void.
