The Premier League has reportedly cleared to restart games on June 12. Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of Britain disclosed this after he revealed a guide for calling off the lockdown in the country. However, matches will be played behind closed doors.
Sports including the Premier League can restart next month as long as they make safety arrangements which must be approved by the government before any kind of sports including the Premier League can take place.
This announcement by Johnson’s arrives after about 8 EPL clubs said they were against playing their games at neutral grounds and demanded that ‘Project Restart’ to be pushed back during a key meeting.
In fact, a number of clubs that are battling relegation are not happy with the fact that they will play their final games away from home and behind closed doors. According to them, this may affect their chances of survival.
