Following the agreement by Premier League clubs to resume contact training, it has now been announced that Premier League games will resume on the Wednesday, 17th of June.

Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Manchester City vs Arsenal will be first two matches when the season resumes, as they were the two games left unplayed, right before the Coronavirus outbreak leading to the temporary suspension of the football season.  Every club would have played 29 PL games after the two matches are held on June 17.

A full fixture list will then be played on the weekend of June 19 to 21. The Premier League are hoping to finish up the league by the 2nd of August, while the FA cup final is scheduled for August 8-9.

With Liverpool leading the table, and needing just 2 more wins to confirm their league win, Manchester City, Leicester City, Chelsea and United will be vying for the remaining three spots, to qualify for the champions league.

As Man City might lose their spot due to an impending ban from European competitions, this gives Wolves, Sheffield and Tottenham, a lifeline in their hopes of qualifying for any European competition.
