Paris Saint-Germain looks so unstoppable now with the current combination of Neymar, Cavani and Mbappe as they continued their dominance of Ligue 1 with a 2-1 victory at reigning champions Monaco to move them nine points clear at the top of the table.
The Parisiens are unbeaten in all competitions and have dropped only four points in 14 league matches this season. Manchester City are the only team to drop (less 2).
Former Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe who was facing his former side spurned numerous chances to make the score line wider after Cavani and Neymar from the penalty spot had given them a 2-0 lead.
However, a difficult personal return for Mbappe to his old club was capped when Joao Moutinho’s free kick deflected off him to make it 2-1, which made Thiago Silva throw a jibe that Mbappe ‘thought he still played for his former side’.
