Tay-K was sentenced to 55 years in prison for his role in a 2016 murder. The 19-year-old rapper was recently found guilty for his involvement in a robbery that left one person dead.Tay was also sentenced to 30 years in prison on one count of aggravated robbery and given two additional 13-year prison sentences on two other counts of aggravated robbery. In addition, he was fined a total of $21,000 and his sentences will run concurrently.The embattled rapper is also facing a capital murder charge in Bexar County, Texas, where he allegedly shot and killed a 23-year-old photographer named Mark Anthony Saldivar.
Tay-K gained notoriety in 2017 when he cut off his ankle bracelet and fled house arrest. He released a song called “The Race,” which now has more than 174 million views on YouTube. The video shows Tay-K posing next to a wanted poster of himself.
He was was captured in New Jersey after three months on the run.
