Faliing to show up at the One Africa Music Fest, the rapper Wale is reportedly being sued by Upfront and Personal Global.
According to TMZ, the rapper failed to turn up for his performance at the inaugural One Africa Music Fest show held in New York on July 22, 2016 after getting paid upfront to headline the concert.
Upfront and Personal Global, the promoters who say they hired Wale filed a suit against the D.C. rapper saying he was paid $25k with nothing to show for it.
In the docs — obtained by TMZ — Upfront shows an alleged signed contract between Wale’s camp and the company, plus two wire transfers for $12.5k a piece. They claim after Wale bailed on the show, he went radio silent on ’em when asked for a refund plus interest.
Wale has this to say;
“That ain’t true,” Wale commented. “I ain’t even spoke to nobody. They told me I couldn’t go on stage cuz I was “too late” cuz my DJ wasn’t there… This is my first time hearin it.”
