Rayce has raised a disclaimer officially disassociating himself from his manager, Danku.
The singer says Danku no longer represents him.
Rayce is currently signed on to Jebon Records and Danku is no longer his manager, as announced by the singer.
The drama around these two entertainers started in July 2016, when Rayce and Danku were involved in a major car accident with a Dangote company truck, around Sango-Ota, Ogun State, with both persons sustaining serious injuries.
A case is currently ongoing however, where the singer allegedly impregnated an Ilorin-based woman known as Ewa, who welcomed a baby boy in February 2017.
Rayce, who is popularly known for songs like ‘Roll’, ‘Just Like That’, ‘Tete La’, ‘Jack Sparrow’, ‘Wetin Dey’ with Davido, and ‘Shikishiki Mami’ with D’banj, was alleged to be responsible for the pregnancy, by the ex-manager, Danku.
Danku claims that Rayce is an ingrate and he once impregnated a lady who they refer to as ‘Ewa the prostitute’ in their text messages.
He also mentioned that he had informed Rayce’s management (Jebon Records) to address the issue before Ewa’s family pressed charges, but they instead defended their artiste.
“They are coming at Rayce,” said Danku.
Now, label Manager to Jebon Records, Ebony Black, has responded, saying:
“Rayce is not the first artiste to be accused of impregnating a woman. The lady in question, don’t forget, we all know her as a prostitute and if at all there’s any need for lab test, you (Danku) must also do the test because I’m very aware you have had sex with the same lady. For me it is no case, they can carry on with their propaganda, we are not afraid of anything.”
Therefore, the question of who impregnated the Ilorin-based prostitute is yet to be answered.
