Real Madrid have apparently dropped their interest in Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.
According to the Express, the Senegal international is no longer Los Blancos number 1 target.
Mane has reportedly dropped down the pecking order with Borussia Dortmund striker and 19-year-old Norwegian phenom Erling Haaland now their number one priority.
However, Real head coach Zinedine Zidane remains an admirer of Mane who has been in sensational form for the Reds over the last two seasons, but it seems the French icon prefers Haaland who has scored 12 goals in his first 11 games for Dortmund and was scoring in the Champions League at will before getting knocked out by PSG
Mane has scored 18 goals in 38 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions this season, assisting 12 as well.
The 27-year-old sensation is the current African Footballer of the Year, having pipped club teammate Mohamed Salah to the accolade in January.
Mane played a crucial role in Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League win last season while he also spearheaded Senegal to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final.
