Harper’s Bazaar just revealed their latest cover featuring everyone’s favorite Princess of Pop, Rihanna.
Riri is giving us some serious Amelia Earhart vibes (the famous female pilot who mysteriously disappeared over the Pacific Ocean and was never seen again) and it’s totally on purpose. The shoot was an ode to an essay Earhart once wrote for the magazine about how to be a female pilot and look hella fashionable doing it.
When asked about Amelia, Rihanna said:
“There’s something so special about a woman who dominates in a man’s world. It takes a certain grace, strength, intelligence, fearlessness, and the nerve to never take no for an answer. Amelia Earhart was such a dynamic force in her industry, setting multiple aviation records in her time. So it was a no-brainer for me to team up with Harper’s Bazaar in honor of a woman who held her own with the big boys.”
