It was not so long ago that we watched Tony Stark die in the Avengers: Endgame and quite frankly, some of us are still in mourning.
So imagine our surprise when we learnt that our favourite super hero will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as himself, you know, the Iron Man!
Robert Downey Jr is set to make an appearance in Scarlett Johansson’s standalone Black Widow movie only about a year after his character bowed out of the MCU.
The film will be a prequel taking place ahead of the fatal events of Endgame since both characters died in the film. It’s unknown how big his role in the film will be, but it’s reassuring to know fans will get one final chance to say goodbye.
It was recently reported that Downey Jr would lend his voice to a future Disney+ TV show.
Black Widow will also star Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz and Stranger Things actor David Harbour.
