Tennis G.O.A.T. Roger Federer has dumped long-standing sponsor Nike to sign for Japanese clothing company Uniqlo after his deal with Nike expired in March.
The 36-year old donned the Japanese branded kit during his first Wimbledon match against Dusan Lajovic on Monday, but still kept his Nike shoes as Uniqlo don’t produce tennis shoes.
The new contract is reportedly worth $300m which will span over the next 10 years.
The 20-time grand slam winner, who first signed with Nike in 1994, will still leave Nike with the ownership of his monogrammed RF line.
Uniqlo also confirmed the deal on their Twitter handle.
