Cristiano Ronaldo took his overall league goals tally to 368 goals to break Jimmy Greaves record of 366 after his brace against Celta Vigo ensured Real Madrid needed only a point on the last day to clinch their 34th La Liga title.
Ronaldo opened scoring in the 10th minute after a bad clearance from Celta Vigo’s Johnny and completed his brace in the second half with a header from an Isco cross.
Guiddetti halved the deficit for Celta Vigo before Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos made it 4-1 to give the Galacticos a 3 points lead over rivals Barcelona.
This was Ronald’s 23rd and 24th league goal of the season, 11 behind Lionel Messi on 35 and also his 49th goal in all competitions this season.
Real Madrid need only a point in their game against Malaga to win the La Liga title on a day Barcelona will also face Eibar.
